Job Overview
The Content Specialist is responsible for creating and localising yesHEis app and social media content to advance the strategic objectives of yesHEis within their specific market. Working across video, written, and visual formats, this role demands creative adaptability, digital proficiency, and strong cultural insight to effectively contextualise globally developed materials for local audiences.
Reporting to the Content Project Co-ordinator and collaborating with the Market Specialist, Content Specialists ensure all content is strategically aligned, culturally relevant, and missionally impactful. From editing videos to crafting copy and designing visuals, they deliver platform-ready content that speaks directly to local audiences. They may also be called upon to support global content production efforts, contributing their creative expertise to broader content production as needed.
Specific Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Market Specialist to localise baseline yesHEis content for social media and the yesHEis app, maintaining brand alignment and ensuring cultural relevance, and language accuracy for your market.
- Produce brand aligned local content for social media and video that is engaging and mission effective for the local audience.
- Report directly to the Content Project Coordinator for video/app content and Localisation Coordinator for social media content and maintain clear communication on project progress, needs, and capacity.
- Participate in localisation workflows including translation editing, audio dubbing oversight, and subtitle adjustments.
- Follow structured workflows for approvals, documentation, and versioning.
- Upload and publish final content assets using platform management tools and content libraries.
- Ensure that all content meets creative, theological, and branding standards before release.
- Contribute to global content production projects when requested, offering creative support across all content formats: video editing, design, writing.
- As part of a global organisation, you will be required to collaborate across time zones, which may require out-of-hours availability from time to time.

Skills, Experience and Education
- Relevant qualification and/or demonstrated experience in media, communications, digital marketing, film production, graphic design, or a related creative field is required
- Preferred minimum 2–3 years of experience in content creation, video editing, design, or digital communication, preferably within a Christian, nonprofit, or multicultural environment.
- Strong proficiency in video editing, graphic design, and writing for digital platforms is required.
- Must show a demonstrated ability to produce content that aligns with brand standards and speaks to a local audience.
- It will be helpful to have an understanding of social media best practices and platform trends.
- Must have a fluency in your local language and strong grasp of regional cultural and theological dynamics.
- Ability to manage multiple content tasks and deadlines concurrently is essential.
- Familiarity with localisation tools and workflows is preferred.
